2 get life term in honour killing case

Two persons have been sentenced to life imprisonment by a special CBI court in connection with a 2005 honour killing case here.
Justice Rajender Kumar held the brother duo, Suresh Pal and Angrej Singh, guilty of strangulating Pal's daughter, who married a man belonging to another community, under Section 302 (murder) of IPC.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 each on the accused, public prosecutor Kuldeep Pushker said.
The incident took place on November 2, 2005 at Bhura village in the district. Subsequently, a case was registered against three persons.
The third accused, Bhupender, died in jail during the trial.
The probe was transfered to the CBI and the case was taken up in the special court in Ghaziabad.
