Two days after a body was recovered from the Kishangarh area here, Delhi Police today claimed to have solved the case with the arrest of two persons.
The duo has been identified as Santosh Shah (29), a liquor seller, and his associate Rajesh (22), a casual labourer.
Police said they had been alerted about a body found inside a DDA Park at Kishangarh on April 7.
"Immediately after that, our men reached the spot... No visible injury marks were found on the body, but a 'gamchha' (towel) was tied around the neck," police said.
During the subsequent probe, police learnt that the deceased, who was identified as one Narain Bengali (35), was a habitual drunkard and would buy liquor from Santosh. Locals told police that Bengali was last seen with Santosh at around 9 P.M. On April 6.
"Based on the information, a search was launched to trace the two, leading to their arrest," police said.

During the interrogation, Santosh revealed that he had got into a heated argument with Bengali after the latter refused to pay for the liquor which he had obtained from him.
"When Bengali threatened him that he would inform police about the illicit sale of liquor, Santosh got annoyed and strangulated him with the towel.
"The next morning, accompanied by Rajesh, he went to the park and dumped the body in the bushes," police added.
