On September 17, police had seized three country-made pistols and 16 live cartridges and apprehended four persons in this connection, SP Navinchandra Reddy said today.
During their interrogation, they informed that they purchased these weapons from two person in Madhya Pradesh, he said.
Following this, police conducted a raid at a premise in Badawni area near Sindona in Madhya Pradesh and apprehended two persons for possessing the weapons, the officer said.
A case under relevant sections of IPC and Arms Act has been registered by the Aurangabad rural police and investigations are underway, he added.
