2 held for stalking in Delhi

A man has been arrested for allegedly stalking and molesting a Delhi University student in a south Delhi locality, police said today.
The accused was arrested on April 3 after he allegedly misbehaved and tried to drag her when she was returning home from her college in Lajpat Nagar's Amar Colony locality, they said.
According to police, the accused had been stalking the girl for the last two months and also a complaint was filed againsgt him at the Amar Colony police station on January 27, in which the victim had alleged that he used to stalk her and passed lewd comments.
After the case was registered, the accused was asked to join the investigation, but he absconded, police said.
However, he joined the investigation on March 28, following which he was given a warning, they added.
Despite being warned, he again started stalking her and went to her college on April 3 and when she was returning home, he started dragging her and misbehaving with her, police said.

In another incident, a 22-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stalking his neighbour in northwest Delhi's Ashok Vihar area.
Police said that the accused wanted to be friend with the 17-year-old girl but she spurned his advances, said a senior police officer.
He was issued warnings by the girl's family but he did not pay heed to it.
Today, he again started following her when she stepped out of her house. Following which the girl raised an alarm and the stalker was over powered and thrashed by passers-by, who later handed him to police.
