A top district police official said Ganguly, who received head injury, was now at the ICU of Howrah State General Hospital while the small screen actor Malabika Sen was also undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
Ganguly and Sen were together coming back to Kolkata from a show during puja when their MUV collided head-on with a Howrah-Midnapore passenger bus.
The family and friends of Ganguly, a well-known character actor in films as well as in TV serials, rushed to the hospital on receiving the news but he was not in a position to be shifted anywhere immediately.
