The minor told her mother about her ordeal after she complained of pain in her private parts. Her mother approached the police yesterday, said a senior police officer.
The girl had been complaining about pain in her lower abdomen for a few days but the mother didn't listen to her, he said, adding that it needs to be determined whether the rape happened over a period of four to five days.
Two juveniles, aged 15 and 14, were detained after a medical examination confirmed rape, the officer said.
"A case under section 376 of IPC (rape) and relevant sections of POCSO have been registered against the duo and they have been apprehended," DCP (Northwest) Vijay Singh said.
