2 kg gold biscuits valued at Rs 70 lakh seized; five held

Two kg of gold biscuits valued at about Rs 70 lakh was seized from five passengers who arrived here from Singapore today, airport officials said.
They said the five men were frisked on suspicion after they arrived here by an Air India flight at 1230 hrs. The gold biscuits were found concealed in their shoes, following which they were arrested.
The men, all aged between 22 and 28 years, were from this city and had gone to Singapore on a tourist visa, they said.
