The accident occurred in the wee hours near Tadepalli on the Chennai-Vijaywada National Highway when the driver of the mini van and its cleaner were changing the tyre of their vehicle on a roadside, an official of Tadepalli police station said.
They were going from Narasaraopet to Vijayawada when the vehicle tyre burst. While they were replacing it, the duo was hit by the bus killing them on the spot, he said.
Ten passengers of the bus also sustained injuries in the mishap and have been admitted to a private hospital in Vijayawada.
