2 killed, 6 injured in tractor-jeep collision
Press Trust of India Medininagar (Jharkhand) Two persons were killed and six others seriously injured when a tractor collided with a commander jeep near Tedhwa river bridge on the Medininagar-Panki Road in Palamau district today, police said.
The incident occurred when the victims Rajeshwar Ram (25) and his cousin Indradev Ram (35) were returning home in Churadohar village under Panki police station from Pathura village in Chainpur police station of the district after attending an engagement ceremony, the police said.
The cousins were killed on the spot, while six others were seriously injured when the tractor coming from the opposite direction collided head on with a jeep.
The injured were immediately rushed to the Sadar Hospital in Medininagar, where doctors referred them to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences at Ranchi, district police officers added.
