2 killed, 9 hurt in mishap

Two persons including an engineering student were killed while nine engineering students were hurt in a mishap near Salboni under Galudih police station, about 40 kms from here, today.
The students of Al Kabir Polytechnic College were on their way to an examination centre at Maryland Institute of Technology and Management, Galudih, in MUV to appear in an examination when a trailer rammed into it, Principal of the Polytechnic college, Prof. Jamil Qaiser said.
The student was identified as Manish Kumar, a fourth semester one of Computer Science stream, he said adding that they were going to appear in the examination when the mishap took place.

Qaiser said all the nine injured students were immediately rushed to Tata Main Hospital, where they were admitted.
The condition of the student, Chandan Kumar was stated to be critical, he said.
