The deceased have been identified as Chetan (25) and Akshay (23), police said, adding that the mishap took place at around 1.30 A.M. Last night when they trio was returning from a hospital where Chetan's pregnant wife was admitted.
"When the trio was near Buddha Jayanti Park, a speeding truck hit their bike. After the accident, all three were rushed to a nearby hospital where Chetan and Akshay were declared dead. The third victim, Pawan, is undergoing treatment," said a senior police officer.
Police said that the driver of the truck, identified as Satish Sharma, has been arrested.
