2 killed in Ganjam

At least two
killings, including murder of a man allegedly by his son, were reported in separate places of Odisha's Ganjam district, police said today.
75-year-old Kasinath Pradhan was hacked to death allegedly by his son at Jagili Dengapadara under Polasara police station limit, while Anil Nayak (45) was killed when two of his relatives attacked him with sharp weapon at Manitara under Buguda police area yesterday, they said.
Dispute over distribution of property was stated to be the cause of the murder of Kasinath, said inspector in charge of Polasara police station Tapaswini Kanhara.
Another son of the deceased was injured in the incident, she said. He was undergoing treatment in local hospital and his condition stated to be out of danger.
The accused Suryamani Pradhan was arrested. The axe used in the crime was seized, she said.
In another incident, Anil Nayak succumbed to injures at MKCG Medical College and Hospital here.
He was admitted in the medical college here with severe injuries, when two of his relatives, including a nephew attacked with sharp weapon.
