2 killed in separate incidents in Amethi

Two people were killed and three others were injured in different mishaps in the district today, police said.
In the first incident, Premlal, 25, was killed after his motorcycle collided with another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction near Pure Ajeetan under Shukul Bazar police station, they said.
"Premlal died during treatment while three others who were also riding the motorcycle were admitted to the nearby hospital," police said.
"Both the motorcycles have been taken into custody by police," they added.
In another incident, Chandrapal, 19, drowned in a pond near Jhambaba ki Kuti under Jamo police station, police said.

Chandrapal, a resident of Mewna village, had come to his maternal house to meet his relatives, they said.
