K Durga Prasad (30) and V Appalanaidu (31) had gone for bathing in a local pond at Pedayerikepadu area of Gudivada town. However, they went into deep water and drowned, said G Sriharibabu, Sub-Inspector of Gudivada II town police station.
Their bodies were later fished out, the official said adding a case has been registered and a probe was underway.
