Two persons were arrested for allegedly assaulting the owner of an east Delhi restaurant and then firing in the air to scare people, police said today.
Ashu and Amit, both 22 years old and residents of Mandawli, were arrested yesterday. They were helpers at a toll plaza of the Anand Vihar ISBT, they said.
On April 14, the police were informed about a quarrel at a restaurant over payment of a bill.
The owner had told police that a man had come to his restaurant and demanded a 50 per cent discount on the bill.
This led to an argument during which the accused threatened him with dire consequences, the owner had alleged.
The accused called some of his associates, who beat up the owner and one of his relatives, police said.
