2 minor children die after falling into ditch

Two minor children died while another was saved when they fell into a ditch in Bihar's Kishanganj district today.
The three minors fell into the ditch while playing on side of road in Dahibhasha village under Sakhuwadali panchayat of Thakurganj block of the district, a district officer said.
The unfortunate two - identified as Samir Tudu (06) and Lakhi Murmu (05) - went inside the ditch while half of the upper portion of the third child was out of the wet mud, Block Circle Officer, Thakurganj, Mohammad Ismail said.
People came to their rescue when the third child raised an alarm.

Immediately after being brought out of the ditch, all the three were rushed to Thakurganj Primary Health Centre where the doctor declared the two children dead while the third child was sent to home after the treatment.
Circle officer said that both the families of the deceased would get ex-gratia payment if they agree to carry out post-mortem of their children.
