2 more undertrials arrested, 3 still at large
Press Trust of India Moga Police today arrested another two absconding undertrials out of the six who escaped from a make shift prison on the premises of judicial court complex here recently, taking the number of arrested to three.
One of the undertrial Gurdev Singh was arrested on Tuesday night.
The two arrested undertrials have been identified as Palwinder Singh and Kuljinder Singh, who hail from village Miglani of Tarn Taran district, were arrested in the wee hours of the morning, police said.
They have been shifted back to Faridkot jail.
The other three identified as Lachhman Dass, Kirpal Singh and Sukha Singh are still at large and police teams are raiding their possible hideouts.
Six undertrials had escaped on December 24 from a make shift jail set up at judicial court complex here after breaking the grill of a window. They were brought here from Faridkot modern jail in connection with different cases registered against them.
