2 Myanmarese nationals held with drugs

Two Myanmarese nationals were arrested here allegedly with drugs worth around Rs 60 lakh, police said today.
Tin Lian Tuang and En Lun Piu, both 21-years-old residing in Uttam Nagar, were apprehended from Shani Mandir on Dwarka Road on Monday on a tip off, Ravindra Yadav, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), said.
Police said they recovered from the duo 50 kg pseudoephedrine tablets and 10,000 tripolidine pseudoephedrine tablets as also 375 injections of buprenorphine.
Tuang told police that his family migrated to Mizoram around 20 years ago due to atrocities in his home land. Their family shifted to Delhi in 2009 and he started working in a tea stall in Janakpuri.
"He met a fellow Myanmarese in Hastsal who introduced him to Pu Fela. Fela had contacts with pharmaceutical companies in Punjab, Himanchal Pradesh and Uttrakhand form where he used to procure these medicines without bills.
"He supplied these medicines to Mizoram and Myanmar. Fela used to send Tuang and Piu to his contacts from where they used to procure these tablets. This time also, they procured the recovered contraband from one Amit of Dehradun," Yadav said.
Piu and his wife migrated to Delhi two years ago and he worked in a factory as helper in Hastsal. Tuang allegedly offered money for helping him in drug trade, he said.
