Stolen goods worth over Rs 10 lakh was also recovered.
22-year-old Vikram, a resident of 24 Pargana in West Bengal, was arrested along with his landlord Gopal Mandal, to whom he used to sell most of the stolen property, police said.
"A special team was set up to deal with the rise in incidents of burglary and theft in the area and during the probe, a trap was laid near Nehru Place here and Vikram was apprehended today along with a bag containing two laptops and six mobile phones," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-East) P Karunakaran.
He had sold most of the stolen property to his landlord Gopal Mandal, who was apprehended at his instance.
A large number of stolen articles including laptops, mobile phones, cameras, wrist watches and other articles, including silver jewellery, worth more than Rs 10 lakh were recovered.
Vikram disclosed that he used to commit crime in DDA flats in Kalkaji, when the residents go out on morning walk or to drop children to school bus stops without locking the doors.
