2 revenue officials held for taking bribe in Rajasthan

Two revenue officials were caught red-handed while allegedly accepting bribe in separate cases in Rajasthan, an anti-corruption bureau official said.
Jagdish Parad Chaudhary, Patwari (village accountant) in Kanwas tehsil in Kota district, was caught while he was accepting bribe of Rs 4,000 from one Prahlad Bairwa for making entry of land in his wife's name in revenue records, the official said.
"He had already taken Rs 14,000 and was demanding more money. After verification of complaint, a trap was laid and the Patwari was arrested while he was accepting the bribe of Rs 4,000 in his house," IG ACB Smita Srivastava said.
In the other case, Patwari of Niradanu area in Jhunjhunu district, Mani Ram, was arrested for taking Rs 1,000 bribe.
"The accused had demanded Rs 1,000 for issuing Kissan Credit card and doing other office related works from the complainant Radheyshyam. He was also trapped while accepting the bribe amount," Srivastava said, adding that both of them were placed under arrest.
