Police today recovered two Class VI students who went missing from a school in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Both the boys were recovered from Mansar Morh in Samba, police said. The boys - Paras Pangotra and Gurjeet Singh - had been missing since yesterday morning after they left home for Deva Memorial School in Dablehar in Ranbir Singh Pura in Jammu district.
The boys claimed that they were kidnapped by some unknown people, who gave them some intoxicants and when they fell unconscious, they took them to Mansar Morh. The duo alleged that when they returned to senses, they raised an alarm after which the kidnappers left them and fled.
To ascertain the truth, medical examination of both the boys was conducted at the Samba District Hospital, in which no intoxicant was detected in their blood, police said, adding that thereafter parents of both the boys were called in to the police station.
Later, the boys confessed that they had bunked school and reached near Mansar Morh, Samba on their own, superintendent of police Anil Kumar Magotra said.
