2 shot dead by armed assailants in Ghaziabad

Two persons were today shot dead and another was critically injured when six unidentified armed assailants opened fire on them in Loni area here, police said.
All accused escaped from the spot, they said, adding a case has been registered at Loni police station.
According to the police, Omender alias Omi (30) and Pawan (18) were sitting inside a grocery shop owned by Jaideep (27) in Kothwalpur area.
The assailants came in a car and showed a hail of bullets on them. Around ten rounds were fired by the accused, police said.
Omender and Pawan died on the spot, while Jaideep suffered bullet injuries and is undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Mohanagar, a senior police officer said.

As per preliminary investigation, the murders might have been committed due to personal enmity.
