Two suspects were arrested in separate actions taken by police and the Border Security Force (BSF) in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer and Bikaner district, officials said today.
A team of police intelligence arrested Shahid Hussain Jilani (54) yesterday night from Pokaran of Jaisalmer district, Pokaran Deputy Superintendent of Police Nanak Singh said.
He said that Jilani was arrested after he could not give satisfactory answer in preliminary interrogation. He will be interrogated by joint investigation agencies.
In another action, a Pakistani national was arrested by a team of BSF in Bikaner district yesterday.
The BSF team has arrested Manjur Ahmed (50) from Bandli check post in Khajuwala town, Bikaner Superintendent of Police Swai Singh Godara said.
He said that the accused in preliminary interrogation revealed that he was a resident of Bahawalpur of Pakistan. He was later handed over to Khajuwala police.
The accused will now be interrogated by joint interrogation agencies, the police said.
