2 wanted men held with illegal arms

Two wanted persons were arrested in west Delhi with illegal weapons and ammunition recovered from their possession, police said.
According to police, the accused, identified as Ali Mohammad (21) and Vijender (33) of Uttam Nagar, are wanted in a number of cases, including of attempt to murder and robbery. Their interrogation revealed that the two were part of a gang headed by one Roshan Khale, police added.
One improvised 9mm pistol and an improvised 7.62mm pistol were recovered from the duo's possession along with seven bullets.
Police also found a tennis ball on them containing 11 surgical blades which the duo allegedly intended to reach to their associates inside Tihar Jail by throwing it inside the prison.
The duo were nabbed by a Crime Branch team which received information that they would come near Shish Ram Park, Uttam Nagar, carrying illegal arms and ammunition.
"A raid was conducted and both of them were apprehended with very good quality weapons," said Jt Commissioner of Police, Ravindra Yadav.
