Pradeep (19), Abad Shukla (18) and Ravi (18), all three residents of Lucknow, had gone to the temple to pay obeisance but slipped in deep water while taking bath in the pond, they said.
While Ravi was saved by the locals, the other two drowned in the accident, they said.
Their bodies were later fished out by the police, they added.
