2 youths held in separate abduction cases

In separate cases, two youths were arrested for allegedly kidnapping two minor girls on the pretext of marriage here, police said.
In the first incident, a 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped by the accused Jaspreet Singh at her residence in Shaheedgarg village in April. Later, he kidnapped the girl.
Singh was arrested along with the girl from Patiala last night, they said.
Later, the victim in her complaint said that he threatened to kill her parents if she refused to go along with him.
In another incident, a 23-year-old youth was arrested for allegedly abducting a minor girl here, police said.

According to a complaint lodged by the 16-year-old girl's family members, the accused kidnapped the victim by luring her for marriage.
Both of them have been booked in separate cases, they added.
