!2-yr-old dies as truck hits school van in Bareilly

A class VI student was killed and some others persons were injured when a school van was hit by a trick in the Milakpur-Karanpur village under Devraniya police station area here this afternoon, the police said.
The deceased was identified as 12-year-old Simran, they added.
A Sudhanshu Public School van was hit by a speeding truck on the Bareilly-Nainital road while a jeep coming from the other side dashed into a tree trying to avoid running into the van, the police said.
Two students in the van and five others in the jeep were injured and admitted to hospital, they said.

The truck driver fled the scene in his vehicle, the police added.
