20 families shifted after building gallery crashes in Mumbra

The second floor gallery of a building in Mumbra crashed today afternoon bringing down an entire floor of 35-year-old Pandurang Nivas situated just behind the Mumbra police station, official sources said.
Thane Municipal Corporation's Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) Chief Santosh Kadam told PTI that fortunately, nobody was injured in the mishap, though the building was occupied by as many as 20 families.
Firemen and RDMC personnel rushed in and evacuated the occupants who have been shifted them to a transit camp at Vartak Nagar, he said.
