Massive thunderstorms and hail swept through eastern China's Zhejiang Province on Wednesday, injuring at least 20 people, authorities said.

Wild storms and heavy rain hit the city of Wenzhou as students of Wenzhou Vocational & Technical College and recruiters held an exhibition, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

The students were hit and injured by hail, with five hurt badly.

The injured students have received treatment and no injuries have been reported by other schools so far, said Liu Tianliang, deputy head of the local education bureau office.
