20 peacocks found dead on pvt farm land

: Twenty peacocks were found dead today on a private farm land at a village near Perundurai, 35 kilometers from here, officials said. They said villagers noticed the dead peacocks and alerted revenue and police departments. Officials suspect the peacocks might have died after consuming some poisonous food. Perundurai, Nallampatty, Kanjikoil, Thambikalai Iyyan Koil area, Thingalure and its surrounding areas are noted for having a large number of peacocks.
