The occupants of the car fled from the scene after abandoning the vehicle. A hunt is on to nab them, police said.
The incident took place last evening when the speeding car did not stop after traffic policemen gestured the driver to pull up at Red Hills, they chased the vehicle and alerted the control room, they said.
The car was later found abandoned at a distance.
Two hundred kilograms of cannabis packed in eight gunny bags were found in the car with a Kerala registration. The contraband and the vehicle both were seized, police said.
