200 kgs of sea cucumber seized, two arrested

About 200 kgs of sea cucumber were seized Vethalai Sea coast at Mandapam near here today and arrested two persons in this connection, police said.
A car and a bike, being used to transport the sea cucumber, protected under Wild Life Act, were also seized.
The sea cucumber worth about Rs 10 lakh was intended for smuggling to Sri Lanka.
The seized sea cucumber was handed over to Wild Life officials.
