2017/18 budget will be people's budget: Das

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said his government wants to make the 2017/18 budget a people's budget and focused on development of the state.
Pre-budget conferences were being held to know people's opinion on rural development and the budget would be underlined as such, because the Centre and the state's main aim was development of the poor, farmers and villages, Das said.
Hunger for development has risen among the people and solution for all problems was development, he said while addressing a pre-budget conference at the police lines here.
The Chief Minister said the state was in favour of simplification of acts in the interest of the poor as the priority was to give the last person in the queue benefit and smile, and that the law should not be an impediment in the development for the poor.
Foundation stone for the building for
Nilambar/Pitambar University would be laid on December 6 in Palamau and within two years nursing colleges would be set up in all the districts, he said.

The BPL families should be motivated to set up poultry farms worth Rs four lakh and the state government would provide market to them, he said adding, the scheme would be underlined in the budget.
The state government has to reduce the number of families below poverty line, Das said.
The farmers would get tools from the agriculture tool bank, he said adding, the bank would be run by the youth from which employment could be generated, an official release said.
Women of 'Sakhi mandal' would be connected with JHARCRAFT and trained in making blankets, sheets, sarees and other materials, he said.
