BJP President Amit Shah would review the party's preparations for next year's Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly elections in Telangana during a visit to the city on July 13.
The assembly elections in the state are scheduled to be held simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls next year.
A meeting of the BJP legislators was held here this evening ahead of Shah's visit, party MLC N Ramachander Rao told PTI.
During the one-day visit, Shah would meet the party's full-timers, booth incharges, core committee members and other party leaders, he said.
A public reception would be accorded to Shah at the airport, he said.
The party is enthused by the response to BJP state unit president K Laxman's recent 'Jana Chaitanya Yatra' and it would intensify the campaign on the pro-poor schemes of the NDA government in the coming months, Rao said.
The TRS government in the state is not dislcosing the real facts to the people on the schemes, he alleged.
