The Haryana Government has set up 21 fast-track courts at district headquarters for which 21 additional posts of additional district and sessions Judges have been sanctioned, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said today.
He said this has been done to facilitate speedy disposal of cases pertaining to crimes against women and ensure quick justice.
Speaking after laying the foundation stones of Additional Block Court Complex and District Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) Centre, in Rohtak district, Hooda said that recruitment had been made to fill 107 judicial posts to reduce workload.
Claiming that the judicial system in Haryana was the best in the country, Hooda said, "The state is leading in terms of availability of infrastructure in judicial complexes as well as in disposal of cases."
The CM said that approval has been accorded for setting up ADR Centres in 16 districts of the state.
There are many types of cases which can be solved outside the court with mutual consent. The ADR Centre would open the way for solution of such cases, Hooda said, adding, that the state government wanted every person to get proper and timely justice.
Appreciating Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge, Justice Satish Kumar Mittal, he said that Justice Mittal had made efforts to ensure better availability of judicial complexes and speedy disposal of pending cases.
The Haryana State Legal Services Authority has set up six Lok Adalats in different parts of the state where cases related to transportation, postage, hospital, housing, telephone and sanitation were being solved free of cost, he added.
