The bus, carrying 65 people, was on its way to Allahabad from Varanasi when one of its tyres got punctured and the vehicle hit the divider and overturned.
The injured, including seven women, were rushed to a hospital for treatment, police said, adding that an alternative arrangement was made for the rest of the pilgrims to continue their journey.
Meanwhile, the injured pilgrims have alleged that the locals who rushed to help them took away their cash and valuables, police said.
