21-yr-old girl commits suicide

A 21-year-old girl, learnt to be a state level football player, allegedly committed suicide today morning by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her home in the Nayapura police station area here, the police said.
The reason behind the extreme step was not known and no suicide note was recovered, police officials said.
The dead body was handed over to the family members after postmortem and police have initiated inquest proceedings.
The girl identified as Pragiya, a resident of Mukti Marg area, today morning committed suicide by hanging self from the ceiling fan of her room at her home, said Satyanarayan, ASI at Nayapura police station.

The girl took the extreme step while other family members were in a room on the ground floor while she was in her room in the first floor, the ASI said.
The deceased girl was reported to be a state level football player, he said.
