22 goats charred to death

Twentytwo goats were charred to death when lightning struck a goat shed at Kannakkanpatti near here, officials said.
The incident occurred around mid-night last night.
Officials said rains uprooted several trees and caused traffic jam in this temple town.
The rain would be helpful in recharging the wells and also cultivation of horticulture plants in and around this temple town.
