22-year-old girl raped by boyfriend

A 22-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her boyfriend in his car here, following which two persons were arrested today, police said.
The victim's boyfriend Manik Bagga (18) and his friend Bunty Sharma (27) were arrested today in connection with the incident that took place on Sunday late night in Telibandha area, SHO Khamtarai Police Station, Hemprakash Nayak told PTI.
The three youths were common friends and belonged to Khamtarai area.
As per the girl's statement, she had gone for an outing with Bunty in his car on Sunday evening.
Subsequently, Bunty received a call from Manik, and they drove to his house in Srinagar locality from where the accused forcefully took the girl into another car, Nayak said.

After consuming liquor, Manik allegedly raped the victim in the car near VIP road, and later dropped her at her residence, the SHO said quoting the complaint.

When the victim narrated the incident to her parents yesterday, they lodged a complaint in this regard, he added.
The two accused have been booked under IPC section 506 (b) (criminal intimidation), 120 (b) (criminal conspiracy), 442 (house trespass), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), while section 376 (rape) was slapped on Manik, he said.
Further probe into the matter is on, Nayak said.
