23 IAS, IPS, IFS officers among 55 transferred in J&K

Jammu and Kashmir government today ordered a major reshuffle in the bureaucracy transferring 55 officers including 23 IAS, IPS and IFS officers.
The state cabinet, headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah yesterday, ordered transfer and postings of 15 IPS officers and 6 IAS among 17 officers, official spokesman said here.
IPS officers K Rajendra and P L Gupta were promoted to the grade of DGP, while Lalatendu Mohanti was promoted to the Higher Administrative Grade of ADGP, he said, adding that these were with effect from January 1, 2014.
The cabinet promoted IPS officers Mukesh Singh, Manish Kishore Sinha (on proforma basis), Sunil Kumar and Danesh Rana to the super time scale (II) - IGP with effect from January 1, 2014, he said.
IPS officers Swayam Parkash Pani, Basant Kumar Rath, Ghulam Hassan Bhat, Khifayat Haider were promoted to Super Time Scale (I)-DIG with effect from January 1, 2014, the spokesman said, adding that Rayees Mohammad Bhat, Pande Raju Omparkash, Shridar Patil and Mansih Agrawal were promoted to senior time scale of IPS.
The Cabinet approved promotion of Hilal Ahmed, SSP (Telecommunication) as Director Police Telecommunication and Joint Directors, Prosecution (in-charge Directors Prosecution), Mushtaq Ahmed Pandit with effect from 8-2-2013 to 30-06-2013 and Mukhtar Ahmed Shah with effect from 8-2-2013 as Directors Prosecution, spokesman said.
