234 gms heroin seized in Mizoram

Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department officials seized 234 grams of heroin during the past two days from different places.
The seized contraband was worth around Rs seven lakh in the local market and was smuggled from Myanmar via bordering Champhai district, a spokesman of the department said today.
Six persons, including three Myanmarese nationals, were arrested for alleged possession of the drugs and were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
