24.80 % students pass in matric supplementary exams

Less than 25 per cent students, who appeared the Matriculation supplementary examinations held in Odisha last month, have come out successfully in it.
The results published today revealed that not a single student has made it in the top A1 grade (90 and above percent of mark), while a single student has made it in A2 grade securing marks between 80 and 89 percent.
Board of Secondary Education (BSE) president D P Nanda releasing the results said a total of 22644 students had wished to appear the exams but only 20739 of them wrote the entire papers.
Of these, only 5143 students passed the examinations pegging the pass percentage at 24.80. Nanda further informed that results at least 337 students were withheld as all of them were booked under 'malpractice' for adopting unfair means during the examination.
While 10 students have passed in B1 grade, 34 others passed in B2 grade taking the total number of students passing the supplementary examinations securing 60 and above per cent of marks to 45, he said.
Similarly, 85 students have passed in C grade securing marks between 50 and 59 percent, 1068 have passed in D grade (40-49 percent) and 3784 students have passed in E grade securing 33 percent or more marks, he said.
