The Yoga guru, who arrived here today to hold the five- day Yoga camp, said the practice will be "instrumental in strengthening ties" between Nepal and India.
The camp is being organised with the intention to raise awareness about health through Ayurvedic medium, according to the organiser Patanjali Yogapeeth.
Talking briefly to journalists upon his arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Ramdev expressed his sadness for the demise of 17 Indian pilgrims in an accident that occurred in Dhading district yesterday.
As many as 25,000 people are expected to participate in the free yoga classes at Tundikhel Open Ground, the Patanjali Yogapeeth said.
