25 candidates file nomination in Delhi

As many as 25 candidates, including 15 from Aam Aadmi Party and three from Congress, filed their nomination papers today on the fourth day of filing of candidature.
According to the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer's Office, a total of 47 candidates including 17 from AAP have filed their nomination papers so far.
Meanwhile, 73 FIRs have so far been lodged against different political parties in Delhi for violation of the Model Code of Conduct, which came into force on January 13.
According to the CEO's office, 33 FIRs have been lodged against Aam Aadmi Party while 15 have been registered against the BJP for violation of the poll code. "Apart from these, 20 FIRs were registered against Congress and six against BSP, one against RJD," the CEO's office said in statement.
A total number of 1,331 hoardings have been removed from public property till date.
As on January 16, as many as 5,138 persons have been booked and as preventive measures 34 licensed arms were deposited, two unlicensed arms and five cartridges were seized.
