The body of Kamna Sharma was found at her place in Sumerganjmandi village of Indergarh police station area of the district yesterday, Srikrishan Gadwal, SHO, Indergarh police station said.
The body had deep marks of injury around the neck, reportedly made with a sharp weapon, he said.
Shalendra Sharma, the husband of the victim has been detained as he was not present in the house at the time of the crime and his phone was switched off. He works as a cook and is a drug addict, Gadwal said.
A case under relevant sections has been registered against unidentified persons in the connection, Gadwal said.
The body has been sent for postmortem, police said, adding investigation is on in the matter.
The victim is survived by two children aged two and three years.
