Forty-one workers were trapped after the accident happened around 10.40 PM (local time) last night at Babao Coal Mine in Jiangyuan District of Jilin Province, said a spokesperson with the provincial work safety and supervision bureau.
The 13 injured people are out of danger, the state-run Xinhua quoted the spokesperson as saying.
