A 29-year-old man from Jammu was allegedly beaten to death in Malaysia by two unidentified bike-borne assailants.
Ajay Kumar was killed on April 18 in Malaysia when he was on his way to a nearby town to catch a bus for airport, the victim's family alleged.
"He was working in Malaysia with a private company and had booked a ticket for April 22 to visit home when he was beaten to death on April 18," Rakesh Bharadwaj, uncle of Kumar told PTI on phone from New Delhi.
Bharadwaj said that the family was informed about the death by another youth who was Kumar's co-worker in Malaysia.
"They were on their way to a nearby town when two motorcycle-borne men intercepted them and asked them to show their passport. The assailants introduced themselves as police and wanted to check the bags of Kumar and his friend," he said quoting the youth who accompanied the victim.
The victim's uncle said Kumar tried to run away but was chased by the assailants.
