A local court has sent the three persons to 14 days' judicial custody in connection with the murder of two youths in Kawal village in August, which sparked a spate of communal clashes across the district claiming over 60 lives and rendering thousands homeless.
Chief Judicial Magistrate K P Singh yesterday remanded Jahangir, Muzammil and Nadeem to 14 days' judicial custody.
The accused have surrendered before the court last evening, the prosecution said.
According to prosecution, communal tension had erupted in the district after three persons were killed over a minor dispute in Kawal village.
After Shanawaz Qureshi was stabbed to death by Gaurav and his friend Sachin over the minor tiff, his neighbours rushed to the spot and lynched the duo.
