3 arrested for assaulting policemen in UP

Three persons including a woman were arrested for allegedly assaulting two policemen in Khayara village under Surir police station here, police said today.
Badam Singh, Satish and Ramvati were arrested today while search for 17 others is on for allegedly manhandling two constables deployed at a fair here last evening, Deputy SP Rajesh Sonkar said.
Pratap Singh Baghel, an armyman had an altercation with constables Govind and Mahesh over parking, he said.
Baghel was apparently asked not to park his bike in the middle of the road by the constables, police said.
Baghel and his family members then attacked the policemen and tore their uniforms.

An FIR was registered against 20 people under relevant sections of the IPC, Sonkar said.
In a separate incident, a tempo driver was arrested who allegedly manhandled a constable at Bharatpur gate under Kotwali police station yesterday, police said.
