3 arrested for betting in IPL

Three persons, alleged to be the members an IPL betting gang, have been arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of UP police in the state capital here.
Acting on a tip off, the STF team last night raided a house in Madharmau Kala locality on Sultanpur road under Gosainganj police station area and nabbed three members of the gang including alleged mastermind Amit Trivedi, STF spokesman said here today.
During interrogation, Trivedi said that he had been involved in the racket since 2010 and used to make some Rs 30,000-35,000 daily and has earned crores of rupees till now.

The STF had also recovered a land line phone, nine mobile phones, two laptops, one calculator, three registers, five ATM cards of different banks and Rs 4500 in cash from them.
A case has been registered and further investigations are on, the spokesman added.
